Tim & Sonya Pearson are a long-time pastoral couple uniquely equipped to minister to and shepherd other pastoral couples. Married in 1997 with two college-age daughters, they currently teach in Colby, Kansas, and serve in pulpit supply locally.
Tim served 30 years as a pastor in Nebraska and Kansas—often in churches with deep systemic issues—and 13 years with Rural Home Missionary Association. Both grew up in pastors’ homes and carry a call to strengthen the local church, especially in rural settings. Tim brings a strong commitment to Scripture and a pastor’s heart to love people while guiding them toward truth. Sonya shares that commitment, with years of experience filling gaps in small churches, a gift for hospitality, and a heart for biblical worship.
For several years God has drawn their hearts to pastor other pastors and build into the next generation. That burden has become PS23—a set of initiatives designed to help the local church and pastor function better.
Statistically nearly half of pastors struggle with depression, and nearly one in five contemplate suicide. Tim and Sonya want to walk with pastors toward health in personal, relational, and spiritual life—and make sure the local church is cared for as well.
